Schwanger Edges Out Rollison for World Championship Team Slot
Laura Schwanger earned a berth on this year's USRowing Adaptive National Team by defeating 2006 World Championships silver medalist Patty Rollison by eight seconds in the women's arms only single at the USRowing National Championships Saturday. Schwanger will be competing in the 2007 World Championships in Munich at the end of August. more...  

The athletes who will be competing at the World Championships in Munich in the LTA4+ (legs-trunks-arms mixed four with coxswain) were announced June 2 after the completion of the team selection camp at the St. Joseph's University Boathouse in Philadelphia. Returning team members Jesse Karmazin, James Dean, and Aerial Gilbert will be joined by 2002 team member Tracy Lee Tackett.

Angela Madsen (Long Beach, Calif.) and Scott Brown (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) continued their stretch of dominance in adaptive rowing, winning their fourth consecutive double sculls title Sunday at the 2006 FISA World Championships in Eton, England, outracing the Polish team of Yolanta Pawlak and Piotr Majka for the gold. In addition to Madsen and Brown's performance, the U.S. brought two silver medals home from the event. more...
