Stephani Victor, Laurie Stephens and Chris Klebl headline a group of 15 Paralympians named to the 2008 U.S. Disabled Ski Team by Program Director Sandy Metzger. The Team accounted for 12 victories and 18 other World Cup podiums last winter. "We have so many solid athletes returning this season like Victor, Stephens, and Klebl," said Metzger. Paralympic and World Championships gold medalist and former World Cup champion Steve Cook (Salt Lake City, Utah), who was the cornerstone of the U.S. Disabled Cross Country Ski Team for the better part of a decade, has retired, announced U.S. Disabled Program Director Sandy Metzger. Cook began cross-country skiing in 1995 as a cross-training method and rapidly surged to the top of the sport, garnering seven Paralympic medals and a World Cup title in 2005. more...

Following two days of testing with the U.S. Ski Team Sport Science Dept. in Park City, the U.S. Disabled Cross Country Team heads into summer with the goal of building the most efficient training programs possible.
