Personal Profile: Yohe was a roller hockey player for the Bettendorf Young Guns before an accident in 1994, in which he tried to jump onto a train, cost him both his legs. In 2003, Yohe got back into hockey when he joined the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) Blackhawks, where he was able to immediately show his scoring touch by setting the club’s record for points in a season by a rookie.
At the Paralympic Winter Games in Torino, Yohe went without a point until the bronze medal game against Germany, where he picked up two key assists in the USA's 4-3 win. The first came on Taylor Lipsett's power play goal in the second period, with the second coming Taylor Chace's game-winner late in the third.
Yohe is currently attending Western Illinois University and pursuing a degree in marketing. When he has finished taking classes, Yohe said he would like to work in the prosthetics industry.
