Personal Profile:
In each of his first two appearances at the Paralympic Winter Games, St. Germaine has registered some memorable goals. He scored the first goal in U.S. Paralympic history in 1998 and netted the game-winner in 2002 at the Paralympic Games to give the USA its first gold medal in the sport of sled hockey.

In 2006, St. Germaine was kept off the score sheet - he was the only non-goaltender for the U.S. to not register a point - but that's not to say he didn't make an impact from his defenseman position. He led the team with a +5 rating, meaning the U.S. outscored their opponents by five goals over the course of the tournament with St. Germaine on the ice.

St. Germaine has been a leader on the squad for the last several years. At the 1998 Paralympic Winter Games and the 2000 IPC World Championships, he was given the honor of team captain. After his performance in Salt Lake City, St. Germaine (as well as teammate Joe Howard) was inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame.

St. Germaine has also been a leader for all people with disabilities in his home state of Massachusetts, where he helped establish the Disabled Fitness Sub-Committee of the Governor’s Committee on Physical Fitness and Sports.
