For Immediate ReleaseDecember 6, 2005 Hilton Family of Hotels Provides U.S. Figure Skating Team, Members Valuable Discounts and Benefits to Offset Travel Expenses BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Hilton Hotels Corporation is building on its dedication to U.S. Olympic athletes with sponsorship of U.S. Figure Skating. The agreement will give U.S. Olympic hopefuls the needed support while traveling on their journey to the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. The sponsorship – part of Hilton Family’s Team U.S.A. Advantage program, which offers direct support to the team to help offset current and future travel expenses – builds on Hilton's official sponsorship of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Teams through the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, as well as the 2007 U.S. Pan American Team. It includes marketing contributions, discounted room packages and HHonors Diamond and Gold memberships. In addition, a donation from the Hilton Family of Hotels is made to U.S. Figure Skating each time the team, a member of the association or a fan books travel through a dedicated portal site on the association’s home page. "Working with U.S. Figure Skating is truly an honor for us," said Tom Keltner, president of brand performance and development group, Hilton Hotels Corporation. "The association’s dedication to excellence reflects Hilton's continuing efforts to make any journey, whether it’s the quest for Olympic gold or a business trip, better for all travelers." "Having Hilton on our team is a tremendous advantage," said Ron Hershberger, President of U.S. Figure Skating. "We're excited to have a company with Hilton's reputation join our lineup of impressive sponsors. Like our athletes, they have always strived to be the very best. Having them with us is a significant benefit for everyone on the U.S. Figure Skating team as we prepare for the Olympic Games." Fans at Smart Ones Skate America in Atlantic City, N.J., in October already took advantage of the Hilton and U.S. Figure Skating partnership by registering to win Hilton Family Hotel prize packages and hotel stays through a Hilton Honors membership sweepstakes. Fans at the Marshalls U.S. Figure Skating Challenge in Boston, Mass., on Dec. 11, and at the State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Louis, Mo., in January will also have the opportunity to win prizes onsite.
