2005 Outdoor Road Inline Speed Skating National Championship Results - June 6/PPIR

Nearly 140 athletes contended at the 2005 Outdoor Inline Speed Skating National Championships at Pikes Peak International Race Way (PPIR) for their chance to bring home the gold medal and division titles. Tomorrow is the final day of competition, as each Junior and Senior World Class athlete will fights for one of 16 available spots on the Junior and Senior World Team. Team USA will be determined on Tuesday, June 7 at the conclusion of the Outdoor National Championships. Competition begins at 7:00 a.m. Colorado native Jordan Nelson (Colorado Springs, Colo.) will compete in the Senior World Class Mens Marathon for a chance to garner a spot on the World Marathon Team.
The Junior World Class Mens division is wide open. Chad Horne (Danville, Va.) has dominated the Junior Mens national circuit, setting a record on the PPIR road course of 16.977 in the Junior World Class 200 meter time trial. He also dominated his division today, placing first in the 20000 meter elimination race with a time of 38:52.193.
