CSOTC Sales and Marketing//Director, Brand Management and Research

Develop and grow the U.S. Olympic brand.  Inspire USOC stakeholders to utilize the U.S. Olympic brand in external and internal communications.  Ensure consistent usage of the U.S. Olympic brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Inspire U.S. Olympic brand with corporate partners, NGBs, and internal USOC stakeholders.

2. Direct the day-to-day activities of the USOC’s creative agency, including the tracking and implementation of creative work being completed for the USOC.

3. Work with external ad agency and internal graphic design and video production to develop USOC brand and product creative for internal and external usage (e.g. external tv, online and print executions, internal collateral, signage, and video production).

4. Oversee the USOC’s BrandTracker consumer research study, effectively tracking the organizations progress toward becoming more “relevant” and communicating to USOC corporate sponsors consumers perceptions of the impact of their investment in the USOC.

5. Ensure consistent usage of new USOC brand initiatives and design language across all internal communications (e.g. OTC’s, Stores, US Olympic Network, Olympic University, website, etc.).

6. Develop creative ideas and marketing programs that build the USOC brand and drive greater value for USOC corporate partners

7. Work with marks approval team to diligently protect the U.S. Olympic brand.

8. Assist with development of content and sponsor activation for the new USOC website.

9. Direct the activities of the Manager, Consumer Research; Manager, Graphic Design; and Post-Production Video Editor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor degree in Marketing-related field (Masters preferred)
• 10+ years brand management experience
• 3-5 years experience managing the activities of external agencies (or 3-5 years of agency experience)
• 5+ years experience implementing both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
• Understanding of sports sponsorship and event management
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Excellent presentations skills
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
