She knows she has the times and the ability to compete head-to-head with the best swimmers in the world. “That’s the most exciting part, because only now do I feel like I’m starting out on the international scene and getting the hang of it. At Worlds I was finally able to fit in and find that I had a place there. I just have a lot more confidence than I had in 2004. I train hard, and then just race and relax.”
