A Kinder, Gentler Scoring System

With the new points scoring system, Lysacek likes the idea that the number of jumps isn't as crucial as before. "It's taken a little bit of stress off the jumps," he said. "For me that's nice because I suffered a really debilitating injury about a year and a half ago, a stress fracture in my hip, and the doctors said it was because of overuse."
