"Krissy would swing a bat and miss the ball by a foot and a half," says Wendell's father, Larry.
"We laugh and laugh thinking about it now," mother Drenda adds.
Wendell would have the last laugh, however, as she was the starting cather for the Brooklyn Park, Minn., team in the 1994 Little League World Series.
