- 1999 Pan American Games, team silver medal & individual silver medal
- 1997, 1999, 2001 World Cup team member

- Has won over six Grand Prix events
- Earned individual bronze at the 2002 World Equestrian Games on Fein Cera, who was named Best Horse of the games
- Wylde has spent much of the past few years riding and training in Holland. By being stationed there, he is able to compete regularly in Europian showjumping events
- Wylde was named to the USET’s showjumping team for the 2004 Athens Olympics based on his second place finish in the selection trials
- Peter was a student of huntseat trainers Joe and Fran Dotoli
Peter was honored as the 2003 recipient of the Whitney Stone Cup by the United States Equestian Team (USET). Each year, since 1980, the USET has recognized an individual who has achieved a distinguished record in international competition while also serving as an ambassador for the USET and equestrian sports by presenting them with the Whitney Stone Cup.
"I think Fein Cera is the only horse in my life I've ever ridden without spurs," Peter Wylde commented during the Olympic showjumping trials. "She doesn't look like a sensitive horse when she's out there going around, doing her job, but she is. She's sensitive and hot. I wore spurs for my last round at the World Equestrian Games because I needed a little more speed. But if I use the spurs too much, well..." Apparently Fein Cera can become disenchanted with the spurs.
