Van Loan, Carl
- Member of the 2002 and 2006 U.S. Olympic Team
- Member of 1999 World Championships team
- Two-time World Junior Championship medallist
- Van Loan started skiing at age 3 and went off his first ski jump at age 9.
- Van Loan comes from a medical family, where his father is a doctor and his mother is a part-time nurse. He also has an older sister.
- Van Loan helped the American team to a silver medal in the 1999 World Junior Championships.
In addition to competing in Nordic Combined, Van Loan is also a promising cyclist in road racing. Recently, he was invited to national training camps by the U.S. Cycling Federation.
