Smith's day starts around 6:30 a.m. and by 7 a.m. he is at the rink and ready to begin. In a typical day, he stretches five to six times in an effort to improve his flexibility and prevent injuries. In his warm-up drills alone, he does 10 separate drills as well as jogging. He does many of the same things at the end of his workout.
