Considers his mother to be the greatest influence on him because "she has always been there for me." When Davis earned his spot on the 2002 U.S. Olympic Team, one of his first thoughts was for his mother. "My mom always pushed me," Davis said following his win in the 1000m race. "She really wanted it for me and I'm happy I could repay her."
