Mesler, Steve
- Replacement member of 2002 U.S. Olympic Team
- Finished 3rd in 4-man at 2001 National Trials (driver Mike Dionne)
- Former decathlete in college
- U.S. Bobsled and Skeleton Federation named Mesler as a 2002 Olympic Team replacement for Pavle Jovanovic, who was suspended for nine months after testing positive for the banned steroid 19-norandrostenedione
- Mesler regularly competes on driver Mike Dionne's bobsled team
- Mesler competed in the decathlon at the University of Florida, where he graduated with honors in Exercise and Sports Science
- Played soccer at City Honors High School in Buffalo (class of 1996), earning all-western New York honors
- Mesler was once selected as the Buffalo Bills Academic/Community Service/Athletic Scholarship winner
His career ambition is to be a collegiate coach.
