Eldredge returned to the Olympic-eligible ranks in 2001 and made a huge impact. Despite making his first World Championships appearance since 1998, Eldredge shined, taking third place as he medaled for the sixth time in 10 tries at Worlds. The next medal he covets is of the Olympic version, something that has eluded him in both of his previous attempts.
