Chryste Gaines
- Three-time Olympic medalist in the 4 X 100m relay (1992, 1996, 2000)
- Three-time World Champion in the 4 X 100m relay
- Three-time US National Champion in the 60m and the 100m
- Two-time NCAA Champion and five-time All-American
- Obtained a psychology degree from Stanford University in 1992 and an MBA from Kennesaw State University's Coles College of Business in 2007
- Named PAC-10 Athlete of the Decade while at Stanford and was a three-time PAC-10 champion in the 100m
- Named Gatorade National Athlete of the Year in 1988, the same year she graudated from high school
- Named valdectorian of her graduating class at South Oak Cliff High School
- First competed in the Olympic Trials at age 17
- Hobbies include reading, singing, listening to music, shopping and watching 24 and Grey's Anatomy.

Prior to the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, Gaines worked with her sponsor at the time to set up a nation-wide writing contest for 13- and 14-year-old students. The students were instructed to write about what they thought it took to be an Olympian. The four winners, two boys and two girls, received a trip to the Olympic Games.
"My greatest accomplishment was winning Olympic gold here in Atlanta, Ga. in 1996. Winning in front fo the home crowd was an awesome feeling and a dream come true," Gaines said.
