Ellison's father introduced him to archery when he was very young so he could hunt with him when he was older. Ellison loves to hunt, and killed a bear when he was 11. His father, a taxidermist, made a rug out of it, which still sits in the living room of his fathers house.
"Archery is my life. I get to travel the world and compete in all kinds of different places. Archery is one of the only things I know, so this is great," Ellison told Blueprinteducation.org.
