Steve Holcomb
- Member of the 2006 U.S. Olympic team as a bobsled driver
- Finished the 2004-05 season ranked 18th in two-man and 7th in the 4-man World Cup Standings
- Finished 4th twice in Austria and Lake Placid
- Is a member of the U.S. Army's World Class Athlete Program
- Cannot see more than six-feet in front of him without contacts
- Started out downhill skiing for 8 years before switching to bobsled
- Was a forerunner (tested the tracks) at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in his own hometown of Park City
- Is a self-proclaimed computer geek, being A+, Network+ and Microsoft certified
As soon as Holcomb found out that he wasn’t going to be in the 2002 Olympics, he hopped in the driver’s seat and hasn’t really looked back since.
“This sport is basically experience. The more you have the better you get. The learning curve is still steep but it’s starting to plateau a little bit as I start to catch the other drivers.”
