Tyler Jewell
- Member of the 2006 U.S. Olympic snowboard team as a snowboard alpine racer
- Won the '01 Continental Cup in Park City, UT
- 6th in PGS at '02 South American Cup
- Won '02 Steamboat Springs FIS PGS event
- Four Nor-am podium appeances in 2001
- Began skiing, but traded the skiing for snowboarding at the age of 10
- Placed in top-20 twice at the Junior Worlds while in high school without having a coach
- Gave up snowboarding for four years to pursue an education degree at Boston College
- Spends his summer enhancing his entrepreneurial skills and working to pay for his winter racing
- Played four years of varsity lacrosse at Boston College
- Enjoys rock climbing, surfing and reading
Jewell understands the value of hardwork and dedication. Upon graduating from college in 1999, he lived out of his car, slept in a tent, ate his meals at a hospital (because they were cheap and nutricious) and worked odd jobs (dug ditches and sold suasages at county fairs) to pay for his dream of becoming a professional snowboarder.
