John-Michael Liles

- 2004 World Cup of Hockey Team member
- 2005 World Championships Team member
- Spent two seasons as part of USA Hockey’s development program, prior to college
- Played two years of hockey at Culver Military Academy, prior to joining USA Hockey’s national development program
- Played four years of collegiate hockey for Michigan State, where he majored in finance
- Hobey Baker Award finalist, and two-time All-American
- Selected by the Colorado Avalanche as the 159th overall pick in the 2000 NHL entry draft
- One of only a few current NHL players from the state of Indiana
- Enjoys golf, fishing, roller hockey, and basketball
- Mother was a rower at Purdue University
- Has a sister named Jessie, and a brother named Joseph
Liles currently plays for the Colorado Avalanche. He is the only member of the Avalanche squad who was selected to represent the United States at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.
