  • In his last season as a junior, he earned bronze at the 2001European Biathlon Championships in the sprint and pursuit
  • Won the 2001 Europa Cup in Switzerland
  • 10K champion at 2005 TD Banknorth Festival at Fort Kent
Did You Know?
  • Placed 15th in the sprint and 11th in the pursuit at the 2001 World Junior Championships
  • In order to make the Junior National team, he had to quite one of his two high school sports – soccer – and continued to play tennis
  • He tried to do both biathlon and collegiate skiing in 2003. It worked as he placed second in the NCAA 10K and also qualified for the Biathlon World Championships
  • After 2003, he took two years off and finished his college career from the University of Vermont
  • Earned a degree in political science and environmental studies
  • During his two years off from biathlons, he concentrated on collegiate skiing
  • Grew up and trained with Tim Burke
  • Hobbies include guitar and mandolin
