- Seven-time X Games SBX medalist
- Four-time U.S. National champion in SBX (2000-2003)
- Took silver at the 2003 World Championships in SBX
- Has five career podiums on the Grand Prix tour
- Leads the U.S. medal charge into 2006 as SBX makes its Olympic debut in Torino
- Well-respected veteran, known for his smooth style on the SBX course and in the Halfpipe, but also makes an impact off the snow as an advocate lobbying FIS on behalf of SBX racing
- Started skiing at age 8 but became bored so he started riding and continued to race in both sports until three years later when he dropped skiing completely
- Became one of the nation's premier SBX riders almost immediately after the discipline found it’s way into competitions

"I've always tried to do as many things in snowboarding as I can, and I plan to continue on that path even though I'll focus on SBX for the Olympic year," said Wescott to the U.S. Snowboard Team.
