- 2006 U.S. Olympian, finishing sixth in the ladies figure skating finals
- 2006 World champion
- Second U.S. woman to ever land a triple Axel in competition
- Junior National champion in 2003, 2004 before moving up to Nationals in 2005, when she placed third; then second in 2006
- Finished fifth in 2004 Campbell's Classic, where she skated against Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen for the first time
- Began skating at the age of six, after watching her three older brothers play hockey
- Her most prized possession is her kitten named Ozzie
- Hobbies include skiing, biking, reading, drawing and tennis
- Wants to study biology in college
- Personnal motto is: "Do what you enjoy; enjoy what you do."

“When I was about 6 years old, I decided I didn’t want to sit and watch them anymore (her brothers playing hockey). There were two rinks, one for ice hockey and one for figure skating. I didn’t want to lose my teeth, so I thought figure skating would be better for me than hockey.”
