John Shuster
- 2006 Olympic bronze medalist as a member of the first U.S. team to win a curling Olympic medal
- Finished sixth at the 2005 World Curling Championships
- 2006 Olympic team trial champion
- Defeated New Zealand 7-6 with an extra end at the 2005 World Championships, which qualified the team for the Olympics
- Began curling after “hanging up the basketball shoes” and needing another winter activity, so he “went down to the club on Junior Night and have been hooked ever since,” Shuster said.

Shuster doesn’t just curl with his teammates on the Pete Fenson rink. “I curl in three leagues a week and throw 50 rocks a day, followed by a game or two of cards,” Shuster said about his training regimen.

On the team’s on ice philosophy: “I think one of our main philosophies that has come to be is just to ‘get focused and stay focused.’ Lately we’ve kind of come up with to ‘be consistent.’ I think those are some philosophies we go by on the ice.”
