- Qualified for the 2004 Olympic 4x100 meter relay pool at the Olympic trials
- Two-time World Indoor 60m silver medalist (’01, ’03)
- 2001 World Outdoor gold medalist (4x100m relay)
- Won an unprecedented fourth NCAA women’s 100m championship in 2002
- Became the first high schooler to break the 11-second barrier as a junior
- One of only two women to be unanimously named Track & Field News High School Athlete of the Year twice (1997, ‘98), the other woman was Marion Jones
- Carried a 3.9 GPA in high school and was considered on of the state’s top 100 prep scholars
- Majored in public policy and management at USC
“‘I was about nine years old when I realized I was fast,” says Williams. “I didn’t know how far it would go, or how serious it would get. But I knew I was fast, because adults would say things about it.”
