Tucker, Steve
- Qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls
- Finished 11th in the lightweight double sculls at the 2000 Olympic Games
- Won the lightweight double sculls at the 2004 Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne
- Won the lightweight double sculls at the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials
- Won a gold medal in the lightweight double sculls at the 2003 World Cup stop in Munich
- Eight-time national team member and two-time Olympian
- Won the 2001 USRowing Male Athlete of the Year award
- Began rowing in 1990 at M.I.T. when Brad Layton, a fraternity brother who rowed for MIT and went on to become a member of the 1995 National Team, kept an ergometer at their fraternity house
- Graduated from MIT with a degree in physics
- Pulled a 2,500-meter piece the very first time he got on the ergometer which was as fast as anyone in MIT's varsity lightweight boat
