Brazell, Bennie
- 2004 Olympic Team member
- Runner-up in 400m hurdles at 2004 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
- Won gold in 4x100m relay, silver in 400m hurdles, and bronze in 4x400m relay at 2002 NCAA Outdoors.
- Ten-time All-American (as of close of 2003-04 academic year).
- Only athlete in LSU history to win national titles in two sports: track & field and football.
- In 2002, named SEC Male Track and Field Freshman of the Year
- As number 17, is one of fastest players ever to wear a Tigers football uniform
- Redshirted as a true freshman in 2001; majoring in journalism.
- Selected as All-American in football by USA Today and rated as one of top 125 players in the nation
Even a multi-sport athlete with nicknames like “Speedster” and “Bennie the Jet” needs to slow down once in a while. Brazell relaxes by reading, fishing, getting together with friends, listening to music, and playing (as himself!) in the “NCAA Football 2004” video game.
