Speaking at the Taekwondo U.S. Olympic Trials, Nia said, “The last year has been a great year. Ever since the Pan American Games Team Trials I have been getting better and better and winning more tournaments. At this time last year nobody would have expected me to be right here on the Olympic Team. Wow, that’s great to say, I’m on the Olympic Team!” It feels great! This has been a dream for as long as I can remember.”
