On racing to her first World Chamionship medal in 2004: "I was really excited, yet quite nervous for the final. Most of that was because I knew anything could happen in keirin, but I knew I was in contention for my first medal. I drew fifth position and ended up with the same position behind the motor. I started making my run from behind a lap and a half to go and I was coming on good coming out of turn two, thinking I could ge over the top. I ended up getting caught a bit on the outside of Clara Sanchez and fought ot the line for bronze. I was ecstatic to come out with a medal!"
