Marion was one of several NBA players and Hollywood celebrities that visited U.S. and coalition troops in Kuwait as part of “Project Salute 2003” and was honored with the NBA Community Assists Award in June 2003.
On coming together as a team to win the Olympic bronze medal: “We pulled together tonight and came out with all kinds of energy on the floor and the bench, we were all together tonight, we pulled together.”
