- tore her other ACL in 2002, which kept her from playing as a member of the U.S. National Team
- Three-time Big West Conference Player of the Year at Cal State Fullerton
- As a redshirt freshman at Washington, led the nation in home runs (24), RBIs (90), and slugging (.960)
- On the 2004 Olympic team’s pre-Athens tour against college teams, hit a home run at her alma mater, Cal State Fullerton
On red-shirting her freshman year in 1999 after tearing her ACL: "I grew a lot that year even though I wasn't playing," Topping told the Los Angeles Times. "I got stronger physically, and my focus got better. There's a lot more thinking in college ball than in high school, and I had a lot to learn."
