Hennagan, Monique
- 2002 & 2003 U.S. Indoor 400m Champion
- 2000 Olympic 4x400m gold medalist
- Won 12 state titles in high school in only three years; her freshman year she attended a private school and could not compete in the state meet
- All-state volleyball player at Spring Valley High School
- Earned a degree in psychology and African American studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Serves as a volunteer coach at the University of South Carolina where she trains under coach Curtis Frye
- In addition to training, she works part time at UPS under an Athlete's Training Assistance Program
- Was named to the ACC Top 50 Women's Track Team in 2003
Hennagan volunteers at Lutheran Services mentoring to children in the foster care system. She hopes to work more with youth programs in the future.
