At 19, Taylor left Georgia Tech to turn professional, but he continues his studies in the off-season. “As far back as I can remember, my parents and grandparents have always strongly emphasized the importance of our education,” he said. Taylor is working towards a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management at Morris Brown College in Atlanta. He also takes additional classes at Life University in Marietta, Ga. "I know it may take me a while because I can't take a full load each year due to my track obligations...but I know by the time the next Olympic Games rolls around in 2004, I should be graduating."
