Misty May-Treanor
- 2004 Olympic champion in beach volleyball with teammate Kerri Walsh
- Made a courageous comeback from an abdominal muscle injury in the months prior to the Athens Olympic Games to compete and win the gold medal
- Went on an unprecedent 90-match winning streak with Walsh in 2003-2004, winning 15 major international titles
- FIVB Tour champion with teammate Kerri Walsh (2002, 2003)
- One of only three players to be named a two-time AVCA National Player of the Year
- Attended Long Beach State University and majored in Kinesiology/Physical Education.
- Led Long Beach State to a NCAA national championship in 1998.
- Was one of only three player to be named a two-time American Volleyball Coaching Association National Player of the Year.
- Daughter of Butch May, member of the 1968 Men's National Volleyball team, and Barbara May, a nationally ranked tennis player.
- In her spare time enjoys golfing, eating, playing beach volleyball, and making people laugh.
Misty plans to pursue a Master's degree and continue coaching at the Junior College level after her playing career is over.
