Jean Prahm
- Two-time U.S. Olympian in bobsledding (2002, 2006)
- Two-time World Cup champion (2000, 2001) with partner Jen Davidson
- Combined with then-partner Krista Ford in February 1998 to become the first American women to win a bobsled medal (silver) on a foreign track
- Finished 5th at World Championships with partner Vonetta Flowers, 2005
- Six top-five World Cup finishes out of eight 2005 World Cup races with one gold medal and two bronze medal finishes
- Broke track record at Utah Olympic Park during 2002 Olympic Trials
- No. 1 ranked driver in the world during the 2001 season
- Her sliding career began in luge and she made the U.S. junior national team in 1996. She switched to bobsled in 1996 and quickly emerged as one of the world's top drivers
- Favorite Olympic moment was watching Bonnie Blair on top of the medal podium
- Teammates call her 'Ice Princess' for her ability to shut out everyone on game day
- Her mother went around their hometown of Waterford, Mich., selling chocolate suckers to help fund Jean's first luge camp when she was a teenager
- Has a wonderful singing voice and hopes to one day appear on Broadway
- Listens to music of Barenaked Ladies and Dave Matthews Band, and likes listening to Limp Bizkit before races
- Shares same name with 17th-century French playwright Jean Racine, who is considered one of the premier writers of French classical tragedy. The two are not related, though
- Favorite restaurant when overseas is Chili's in Innsbruck, Austria, because "When you're in Europe for a month, it's so great to get American food!"
- Was the drum captain of her high school marching band
Prahm (formerly Racine) is pursuing two other tracks in life besides the track of ice leading her to the Olympics. She is chasing after a singing career and hopes to achieve a business degree from the University of Utah.
