Try Badminton Beginning players should get involved with school programs or local clubs. An extensive list of local clubs extensive is provided on the USA Badminton Web site. Once a player is involved in a club, they have the opportunity to play in local, regional and national tournaments. Based on their performance and recommendations from local or regional coaches, players will be considered by the national coaches for an invitation to train on the national team.
USA Badminton is also currently working on the FIRST program, which is focused on introducing badminton to young children through the school system. The FIRST program has reached New York, Texas and Connecticut, with more states soon to follow. There are 50 state associations to provide more information about programs, clubs, events and opportunities close to home.
