USA Swimming Statement

USA Swimming is aware of the rumors involving Glen Luepnitz, who was not a member of the U.S. staff but did have some involvement with individual members of the 2000 U.S. Olympic swim team. USA Swimming has absolutely no knowledge of any inappropriate activity involving performance-enhancing drugs among our swimming athletes at the Sydney Games. If there is anyone who has specific, factual information of such activity, as always we implore them to share that information directly with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) or U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Likewise if USA Swimming becomes aware of specific information related to these rumors, we will immediately transfer that information to WADA and USADA. In the meantime, we will have nothing else to say in response to this matter.-USA Swimming Executive Director Chuck Wielgus
