Jim Shea: What are you doing this summer? Chris Witty: What book provided you with inspiration?
For Jim Shea I'd like to know what the skeleton team does in the summer. Do they keep training? What is Jim Shea, Jr., up to this summer?
Sara Weber Tampa, Fla.
Sara, I have been training all summer, mostly rehab. I had only 27 percent of blood flow in my left leg during the 2002 games. I now have 97 percent but it is not all the fun, to do all the training. I hope to be back on the World Cup this winter. My summer is training every day I can, running, lifting weights and bounding.

For Chris Witty I am interested in learning what reading materials have you found to be most beneficial in inspiring you to become an Olympian competitor?
Brad Baldwin
Brad, I know the answer is Harry Potter, but inspirational … "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" … I read it years ago. (I like) his way of not over thinking things, kind of switching your brain off when it's time to race. Staying in the moment, that's helpful. I just think (the Harry Potter books are) great. They just take you back to your childhood. It really gives you a good feeling of being a kid again, having a good imagination. I just started book five. Isn't it cool that kids are reading it? I think it's amazing that J.K. Rowling has created a book that is so big that all these kids are going to read it in an age when there's Internet, Playstation and all that other stuff. It's pretty incredible."

Would you like to ask a question … to any Olympian? Sign up for Gold Medal Pass to become eligible. When you receive your first GMP, you will receive further instructions.
The makers of "Ask an Olympian" will make every attempt to get every viewer's question answered. However, there will be cases where we will fail. Maybe you've got a question for Jesse Owens, Johnny Weissmuller or any of our other illustrious, no-longer-living Olympians. We won't be able to be able to accommodate those requests. Thanks in advance for your understanding. Void where prohibited.
