National Diving Championships Live: ATT blue room

SAN ANTONIO — AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) and USA Diving have announced that the upcoming national battle for 10 premier diving titles, a key milestone in the march toward the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, will be streamed live exclusively on AT&T’s content-filled AT&T blue room site. Live coverage of the national diving competition finals is set for 2:30 – 7 p.m. ET on Aug. 4 and Aug. 5.

Approximately 125 of the nation’s top divers will compete in the 2007 Kaiser Permanente National Diving Championships from July 31 to Aug. 5 at the Avery Aquatic Center in Stanford, Calif., for the opportunity to claim top spots in five events: 1-meter springboard, 3-meter springboard, 10-meter platform, 3-meter synchronized springboard and 10-meter synchronized platform. In addition to live streams of the competition finals, additional event coverage will be available as archives following the event at AT&T blue room Team USA (www.attblueroom.com/teamusa).

Visitors to blue room Team USA can also download a USA Diving Desktop Communicator. It includes an RSS news feed and is customizable to provide users with alerts to breaking U.S. diving news, weather information and special promotions, as well as a countdown to the 2008 Olympic Games.

“Diving fans are a loyal and passionate audience, so it’s exciting to have a platform that lets us deliver new, more intimate access for the sport’s key competitions,” said Jason Simpson, director of Olympic Integration, AT&T. “Now, diving fans can catch their favorite athletes competing in the upcoming Nationals live from any PC during the competition and can access archived content afterward — regardless of location.”

“Teaming up with AT&T to bring broad exposure to USA Diving is an important effort for us as eyes begin turning toward Beijing,” said Debbie Hesse, chief executive officer of USA Diving. “This alliance is helping us to gain support and momentum from diving fans and the general public at a key time.”

Visitors to AT&T blue room Team USA can also access archived video streams, bios and results recaps of the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix competition, which was held in May in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

AT&T blue room Team USA gives sports fans intimate access to U.S. Olympic Team hopefuls across a range of sports. Content will be archived on the site through the 2008 Olympic Games.

The initiative builds on AT&T’s commitment to provide significant financial and other support to the U.S. Olympic Team. AT&T is the Official Telecommunications Services Partner of the U.S. Olympic Team for the 2008 Olympics.

Note: This AT&T news release and other announcements are available as part of an RSS feed at www.att.com/rss.
