Finchum/Boudia: Silver at Canada Cup

MONTREAL – Thomas Finchum picked up his second silver medal of the 2007 Canada Cup, this time finishing second with partner David Boudia in the men’s 10-meter synchro event on Sunday. Chris Colwill also earned a spot on the medal stand for the U.S., taking bronze in the men’s 3-meter finals.
Finchum (Indianapolis) and Boudia (Noblesville, Ind.), scored 398.64 points to pick up the silver behind China’s Huo Liang and Lin Yu, who won gold at 437.58. Finchum won silver in the individual 10-meter contest on Saturday.
Colwill (Brandon, Fla.) received 447.30 points in his bronze-medal performance in the 3-meter finals. Canada’s Alexandre Despatie claimed the gold at 536.70 points, and China’s Luo Yutong was second at 499.05.
Kelci Bryant (Chatham, Ill.) and Ariel Rittenhouse (Santa Cruz, Calif.) represented the U.S. in the women’s 3-meter synchro event and scored 282.00 points to place sixth. China’s Li Ting and He Zi won the gold with 315.30 points.
China’s Chen Ruolin won the women’s 10-meter finals with 415.55. No U.S. divers advanced to the finals in that event.
The U.S. wrapped up the Canada Cup with four medals.
Next up is the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., from May 10-13.
