USA will play at Durham Bulls Athletic Park

April 11, 2006 - Durham, NC – The 2006 USA Baseball National Team opens the home portion of their summer schedule at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Saturday evening July 8 with a 7:00 pm tilt vs. Chinese Taipei. Team USA is slated to play a total of seven (7) games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park as part of its Road to the World Championships Summer Tour.
Team USA will play the middle portion of a seven-game Friendship Series with Chinese Taipei in Durham, July 8-11. The Americans return back to Durham to face Korea for three games July 21-23 before opening the 35th Annual USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series on July 25 at the DBAP. That will be Japan’s only appearance in Durham, as the remaining four games of that series will all be played in various minor league ballparks in North & South Carolina.

“Our schedule this summer certainly features the impressive baseball ability of our friends from the Far East, and it is going to be a tremendous challenge for our National Team here at the DBAP,” said USA Baseball Executive Director/CEO Paul Seiler. “We encourage all baseball fans in the Triangle to come out to the ballpark for some great entertainment and to see the future stars of the game.”
The entire 2006 USA Baseball National Team game schedule will be announced at a later date.
