2007 United States Pan American Games Team Trials for Badminton to be Held Saturday, June 9 in Orange, Calif

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A strong field of badminton athletes from throughout the United States will compete tomorrow, Saturday, June 9 for the right to represent the United States of America at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Orange County Badminton Club in Orange, Calif.
Players will compete in men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. The winner in each category will qualify for nomination to the 2007 United States Pan American Games Team.
The 2007 Pan American Games will be held, July 13-29 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The badminton competition is scheduled to take place from July 14-19 and will be held in the Riocentro Convention Center.
