Pan Am - U.S. women sweep Mexico in team semifinals, to face Canada in gold-medal match

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil - Three nights after winning the individual women's singles titles in Squash, Natalie Grainger will have an opportunity to double her gold-medal total at the Pan American Games.
Grainger (Washington, D.C.), along with teammates Michelle Quibell (Washington, D.C.) and Latasha Khan (Seattle, Wash.), will meet a strong team from Canada in the finals at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miecimo da Silva Sport Complex.
Canada is led by women's singles silver medalist Alana Miller and bronze medalist Runa Reta.
The U.S. women advanced to the finals by sweeping Mexico 3-0 in the semifinal round Wednesday night.
The United States men's squash team fell to Brazil 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the team competition on Wednesday.
Chris Gordon was the lone winner for the U.S. He swept Ronlvaldo Conceicao 9-0, 9-0, 9-0.
Julian Illingworth, who won a silver medal in the singles competition for the U.S., fell 8-10, 9-4, 9-4, 9-4 to Rafael Alarcon.
