Shotgun Junior Olympics Kick off September 15 in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 12, 2007) - Approximately 200 junior shotgun shooters from across the country will compete at the 2007 Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and USA Shooting Junior Olympic National Championships September 15-22. The 14th annual Shotgun Junior Olympics will be held at the International Shooting Park at Fort Carson Military Reservation.
Participants were selected by invitation and the top shooters from each state will be vying for National Junior Olympic Titles in Men’s and Women’s Trap, Men’s Double Trap and Men’s and Women’s Skeet.
The competition schedule for the National Junior Olympic Shotgun Championships is as follows:
Saturday, September 15 Men’s and Women’s Trap Training
Sunday, September 16 Men’s and Women’s Trap Match
Monday, September 17 Men’s and Women’s Trap Match and Awards
Tuesday, September 18 Men’s Double Trap Training
Wednesday, September 19 Men’s Double Trap Match and Awards
Thursday, September 20 Men’s and Women’s Skeet Training
Friday, September 21 Men’s and Women’s Skeet Match
Saturday, September 22 Men’s and Women’s Skeet Match and Awards
