U.S. Athletes to Compete in Italy This Weekend

(Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Nine U.S. athletes will compete in the Tre-Torri International, a USA Judo Senior B-Level Tournament, this weekend in Porto Sant’Elpidio, Italy.
The men’s 60kg, 66kg and +100kg and women’s 48kg, 63kg, 78kg and +78kg will be contested on Friday while the men’s 60kg, 66kg and +100kg and women’s 52kg, 57kg and 70kg and men’s 73kg, 81kg, 90kg and 100kg will be fought on Saturday.
U.S. athletes competing include:
Men 60kg: Taraje Williams-Murray (Bronx, N.Y. / NYAC / Spartak Sports Club), four-time National Champion 66kg: Kenny Hashimoto (Thornton, Colo. / Northglenn), 2006 U.S. Open bronze medalist 73kg: Ryan Reser (Colorado Springs, Colo. / USA Judo National Training Site at the Olympic Training Center), 2005 and 2007 Pan American Champion 73kg: Chuck Jefferson (San Jose, Calif. / USA Judo National Training Site at San Jose State University), 2002 and 2003 Pan American Champion 81kg: Dustin Moran (Kalamazoo, Mich. / Southside Dojo) 100kg: Aaron Handy (Wakefield, Mass. / USA Judo National Team FORCE), 2007 British Open fifth-place finisher +100kg: Daniel McCormick (Wakefield, Mass. / USA Judo National Team FORCE), 2007 Senior Nationals bronze medalist
Women 63kg: Marti Malloy (San Jose, Calif. / USA Judo National Training Site at San Jose State University), 2007 Senior National Champion 78kg: Nina Cutro-Kelly (San Antonio, Texas / Universal Judo), 2007 Senior Nationals silver medalist
