GRECO-ROMAN
120 kg – Dremiel Byers (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army)
Bronze Medal Match: Byers dec. Yannick Sczzepaniak (France), 1-1, 2-0, 2-1
First Period
No scoring in the first minute. Neither wrestler is able to score from the top position so both wrestlers earn one point. The 1-1 tie goes to Sczzepaniak because he was able to defend Byers in the final :30 seconds and scored the last point.
Second Period
No scoring in the first minute. Sczzepaniak escapes quickly from the bottom position, but Byers scores one-point at 1:29 when Sczzepaniak steps out of bounds. Byers earns a second and final point when he defends Sczzepaniak from the bottom position.
Third Period
Byers scores one-point at :54 when he drives Sczzepaniak out of bounds. Sczzepaniak earns one-point at 1:30 when he defends Byers from the bottom position, tying the score at 1-1. Byers earns a second and match winning point when he defends Sczzepaniak from the bottom position.
Semifinal Round: Khasan Baroev (Russia) dec. Byers, 1-1, 4-0
First Period
No scoring in the first minute. Neither wrestler is able to score from the top position so both wrestlers earn one point. The 1-1 tie goes to Baroev because he was able to defend Byers in the final :30 seconds and scored the last point.

Byers scores on a three-point bear hug at :32. Byers scores two consecutive two-point gut wrenches at 1:14 and 1:18 to win the period 7-0.

(Byers released the reverse lock and immediately went to a straight lift and attempted a throw near the edge of the mat.) Byers scores a one-point takedown at 1:58 off of an attempted throw by Ivanov. Byers wins the final period 3-0.

First Period
No scoring in the first minute. Byers scores two-points at 1:22 when he steps over Petkovic’s gut wrench attempt. Byers earns a third point at 1:30 when he defends Petkovic from the bottom position. Petkovic earns one-point at 2:00 when he defends Byers from the bottom position. Byers wins the period 3-1.
Second Period
No scoring in the first minute. Byers earns one-point at 1:30 when he defends Petkovic from the bottom position. Byers ends the period and the match at 1:36 with a five-point reverse-lift.
FREESTYLE
55 kg – Henry Cejudo (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids)
First Round: Taghi Dadashi (Iran) dec. Cejudo, 1-0, 4-0
First Period
Dadashi scores one-point at :49 on a go-behind. Dadashi wins the period 1-0.
Second Period
Dadashi scores one-point at :54 on a go-behind. Dadashi defends Cejudo’s front chest lock and scores two-points at 1:25. (Dadashi was in on Cejudo’s legs when Cejudo tried to score on the chest lock from the front.) Dadashi earns a fourth point for holding Cejudo on his back. Dadashi wins the period 4-0.
60 kg – Mike Zadick (Solon, Iowa/Gator WC)
First Round: Sait Prizreni (Albania) dec. Zadick, 1-1, 1-0
First Period
Zadick scores one-point at :08 when he drives Prizreni out of bounds. Prizreni scores one-point on a duck under at 1:42. Prizreni wins the 1-1 tie because he scored the last point of the period.
Second Period
No scoring in the first two minutes. Prizreni wins the coin flip and the match at 2:04 when he dumps Zadick to the mat from the leg clinch.
