World's Largest Synchro Meet Held in Oxford, Ohio

Oxford, Ohio - Over 1,000 athletes will invade the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center for the world's largest Synchronized Swimming Championships. The 2007 Esynchro U.S. Age Group National Championships will kick off June 23 and will run through June 30.

The grassroots competition will feature up-and-coming junior athletes along with several reigning age group national champions. Swimmers will compete for titles in the solo, duet, trio and team events in four age groups: 11-12, 13-15, 16-17 and 18-19.

The championships which will be hosted by the Cincinnati Synchrogators and Miami University Aquatics, include eight days of competition and will carry an estimated economic impact of more than $1.3 million. Oxford, Ohio is no stranger to synchronized swimming as it also played host to the 2002 U.S. National Championships.

Admission will be charged for finals competition only. Adult ticket prices for finals will be $10 and $5 for children.
