USA Synchro earns a pair of fourths at World Cup

Yokohama, Japan – Team USA (95.850) took fourth place in the team competition, marking the conclusion of the 2006 FINA World Cup. Russia (99.100) took home the gold, while Japan (97.750) and Spain (97.600) followed.
Christina Jones (Fremont, Calif.) and Andrea Nott (San Jose, Calif.) teamed up to represent the United States in the duet competition of the 2006 FINA Synchronized Swimming World Cup. The pair finished fourth with a score of 95.200. The United States National Team will appear in the team competition on September 17. The meet runs September 14-17 in Yokohama, Japan and features elite international competition. The U.S. has had much success in this competition, claiming six of 10 World Cup titles.
Russia's Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova claimed the top spot with a score of 98.900. Gemma Mengual and Paola Tirados represented Spain (98.050) in second place, while Japan's (97.200) Emiko Suzuki and Saho Harada finished in the bronze medal position.
