The athletes were selected based on the results from the first two North American Cup competitions and the USBA International Team Criteria. The Europa Cup Team includes three senior women and one senior man: Caitlin Compton (Minneapolis, MN), Haley Johnson (Lake Placid, NY), Sara Studebaker (Boise, ID) and Robert (Duncan) Douglas (Lake Placid, NY). Joining this group will be the three athletes who have pre-qualified for the Biathlon Junior World championships: Wynn Roberts (Battle Lake, MN), Leif Nordgren (Marine-on-St. Croix, MN), and Laura Spector (Lenox, MA).

Additionally, the ICC will announce financial incentives for athletes competing at North American Cups 4-7 by December 21. These incentives will provide financial support to go on to compete at the North American Championships at Mt. Itasca, MN, and the Canadian Nationals in Vancouver, BC.
